Welcome to The City of Buffalo Common Council Spotlight! The City of Buffalo Common Council, our City's representative assembly, is vested with all legislative powers of The City. This dashboard will use data storytelling to highlight each of Buffalo's nine Common Council Districts: Delaware, Ellicott, Fillmore, Lovejoy, Masten, Niagara, North, South, and University.

The City of Buffalo Common Council
The City of Buffalo Common Council, our City's representative assembly, is vested with all legislative powers of The City. The City of Buffalo is comprised of nine Common Council Districts, and each district is represented by a common council member. 
Council members are elected to The Council to direct The City's development, policies, services, and future. Some of the council member's responsibilities include attending weekly meetings to vote collectively about what's best for The City, setting The Council agenda, and addressing concerns of residents, business owners, and citizen groups.
